The Full on Battle the Last 10 Days

You are in a battle. Full stop.

If you’re carrying a God-given assignment, expect resistance. The last 10 days reminded me.

The highs were God’s work, not mine:

  • Men in The Arena Brotherhood found freedom in their identity, relationships, and business.
  • My youngest daughter chose to put on Christ in baptism. Nothing compares.
  • On Sunday, 15 friends and I shared the gospel on a college campus. One young woman encountered Jesus and asked him to guide her life.

Then the lows hit. On Monday, Jessica’s chronic foot pain flared 10x. And right in the middle of the Kingdom moving forward, I was envious and overwhelmed.

Last Friday it felt like a cloud of darkness had settled over our home. The Lord made it clear I shouldn’t fight it alone. I needed to bring my family to him. Jessica and I gathered the girls and asked for a fresh outpouring of his Spirit on our home. More than two hours later, he had spoken: this is a house of strength.

Here’s what I want you to hear. When you’re on assignment, the accuser shows up. He uses deception, discouragement, comparison, and exhaustion, whatever works. Your fight isn’t against the people or circumstances in front of you. It’s in the unseen realm (Ephesians 6:12).

So armor up. Name the lies you’ve agreed with, and break those agreements in Jesus’ name.

What agreement do you need to break today?

My personal invitation to you if you are a leading carrying an assignment and you need a 15-minute clarity call. Schedule one right now. It may be costing you more than you realize leading alone. I am in your corner.

Be Strong,

Lantz Howard

Brian is a Chick-fil-A Owner-Operator in Greensboro and one of the men in The Arena. In his late 30s, stress put him in the...

Yesterday I celebrated turning 46. I was overwhelmed with the love and support I received. Jessica and the girls showered goodness on me. I even paused a 30 day detox to enjoy a piece of homemade Dulce de Leche Banana Cream Pie. I share the following from a posture of gratitude and I want to encourage you wherever you are on the journey, to hold fast. This past weekend Jessica and I taught the hidden principles that have forged our 21+ marriage in what we are calling the IntimacyOS Marriage...
