Today we decorated Christmas cookies as a family—one of our sacred traditions. That’s the tension. The space between Christmas and New Year’s. The Christmas season arrives as both gift and disappointment. The gift of family. And the disappointment of grief. At some point, we have to learn how to hold both—joy and sadness—without rushing past either. So here’s my invitation: How High Achievers Strategically Reset For the next 7–10 days, take one 20-minute walk at dawn. Before the kids wake up. This is your pause. A small way to clear your heart and steady your soul so you can offer the real gift—your full presence. One more thing before you step out the door: No notifications. One reason high achievers have such a hard time slowing down Achievement becomes our proof of worth. So begin retraining your heart today. As you walk, quietly say these words—slowly, with your breath: “Thank you, Father. May you learn to receive and be present to yourself. Merry Christmas! Much Love from our family to yours! PS.
